Christingle

We learnt so much about Christingle this week.

The orange represents the world.

The red ribbon is a reminder that Jesus died.

The cocktail sticks represent the four seasons.

The candle reminds Christians of Jesus, light of the world.

The sweets or dried fruit represent all of God’s creations.

They were so sensible when we lit them. What a lovely day!

  1. Lottie remembered what all of it was for and she was telling us all about it at the dinner table tonight she loved it xx

    1. It is a big concept isn’t it? They learn about Jesus who was born in a stable and then we learn about him during Christingle. I do love this time of year!

      1. Lottie really has been really taking in what u say she has a little wooden nativity set and she acts out what who everyone is and what there part is so really well done to you and Mrs Fenton thank u x

  2. Aaww there little faces while there holding their candles. William was so proud of his, until he bit the orange which was a little tangy lol

  3. It is so good to know the children are learning all the aspects and reasons for Christmas. They all look engrossed in the lit candles. I will ask Lottie all about the day when I see her this evening.
